Gentle Movements

Hello, my name is Moniek. If you would like to move a bit more in a gentle way, you are in the right place. Take a look around and you will find information about my Gentle Movements sessions, taster videos as well as recordings of full online classes. You would be very welcome to book a free trial session and experience how Gentle Movements can make you feel better.

Gentle movements are soothing exercises. Regular practice of these meditative movements creates space to feel grounded, calmer and more in tune with your body. Especially beneficial for those who:

  • experience aches and pains or
  • lead a stressful life

This approach is based on a range of movement practices including Qigong, Feldenkrais, Yoga and dance. We do these subtle exercises lying down, seated and standing.

If you have any questions, would like to book a one-to-one session or do a free trial group session please contact me.

“I enjoyed it so much and feel it was like having a delicious ‘movement bath’. My nervous system feels so soothed and calmed! I thought it was great and am looking forward to the next session.”

“The movements are very gentle and I sometimes wonder if anything is happening, but at the end of the session my body (and spirit) feel wonderfully relaxed and ready to face whatever life throws at me. It is much gentler, more thoughtful, almost contemplative than other movement practices and I like the combination of different approaches such as qigong, Feldenkrais and yoga.”

“Moniek’s classes have been a golden thread through a difficult year of cancer treatment. I love the gentle, meditative quality and always feel more relaxed and supple at the end of each session. I like exploring small movements and the effect they have on the whole body. I greatly value the kindly good humour which is fostered within the group”

“I found it very enjoyable, very relaxing and left the session feeling much more peaceful than when I arrived.”

“Pleasant, calming, relaxing.”

“I was feeling so much more balanced after the session. My posture was straighter and I felt at ease.”

“I liked the caring attitude of the teacher.”

“At first I was a bit sceptical, but I do the exercises every day now and I love it. I have had difficulty sleeping for a long time, but I am sleeping much better now.”

“So relaxing and energising!”

“I have got a lot out of these sessions and have been able to clear my mind.”

“Moniek is fully immersed in the practices that she has combined into this powerful yet easeful sequence of gentle movements. She is in tune with the differing physiques, and abilities of group members, and is alert to the need to adapt exercises for an individual’s benefit.”

“These sessions helped me appreciate what I could achieve with my mobility problem.”
